Marian Reyla

 

Marian Reyla is the Editor-in-Chief. She is an ID 122 LIA-COM student, taking up Creative Writing with a specialization in fiction and Business Management. Always on the move, Marian juggles a busy schedule filled with travel, teaching, and writing. A Filipino-American writer and educator, her work often explores hybridity, contradiction, and the freedom in leaving things undefined. Despite her many pursuits, she always returns to literature: reading, writing, and finding meaning in the in-between.

 

Her short story, “Kalkal,” was published in Volume 1, Issue 1 of The Guava Tree Magazine.

Francis David M. Yu

 

Francis David M. Yu is the Associate and Fiction Editor. He is an ID 122 Creative Writing student, specializing in fiction. Francis spends most of his days buried in mythology or lost in the stars. With a passion for reading and writing, he explores various genres in science fiction and fantasy. He isn't bound to the written word, and enjoys watching movies and series as well.

Jascha Pacubas

 

Jascha Pacubas is a Nonfiction Editor. She is an ID 122 Creative Writing student, specializing in fiction. She spends most of her days exploring the unknown, drawn to the mysteries hidden beneath the surface of the ordinary. When not unraveling these enigmas through writing, she immersed herself in books, art, and music, always seeking new ways to make sense of the unseen.

Aragon Ry Piñero

 

Aragon Ry Piñero is a Nonfiction Editor. He is an ID 122 Creative Writing student, specializing in creative nonfiction. Sometimes there, sometimes not, Ry is a homebody at heart but will go anywhere as long as there’s company. Often playing strategy games and reading manhwa. He writes short essays and memoirs while experimenting on writing form. Although classified as an anomaly, he strives to write about the normal, everyday life as engaging as possible.

Justin Allen W. Aquino

 

Justin Allen W. Aquino is the Poetry Editor. He is an ID 122 Creative Writing student, specializing in fiction. Allen spends most of his days watching shows and movies. When he's not, he's writing stories and poetry. He also loves the occult and has a fascination with various spirits.

Christianne Alyssa R. Elaurza

 

Christianne Alyssa R. Elaurza is the Layout Editor. She is an ID 122 Literary and Cultural Studies student. Ally, a creative soul with a passion for art and literature, is deeply enticed by the eerie and uncanny allure of the horror genre and intricate explorations of grief. While she doesn’t write creatively herself, her love for literature and themes within it shape her knowledge on storytelling and her studies. Also an artist and graphic designer, Ally is also able to express her passion and creativity through her visual art—blending her love for literature and her artistic talents. With adoration for both mediums, she thrives on the intersection of words, narratives, and imagery.

Samantha B. Sumisim

 

Samantha B. Sumisim is the President. She is an ID 122 Creative Writing student, specializing in fiction and also taking up a minor in Psychology. Sumi found solace in Manila after the long-winding roads of Sierra Madre. Beyond the smoke and bumps, she learned to better appreciate literature at the heart of it all. While she grapples with the often crumbling foundation of her thesis and organizational work, she seeks comfort in the company of the people she cares for the most.

 

Her short story, "O Goddess of Mine," is published in Scribbles Volume V Issue 1: Mnemosyne’s Hometown.

Samantha R. Mendoza

 

Samantha R. Mendoza is the Vice President for Documentations. She is an ID 123 Creative Writing student. Through short stories, often laced with magical realism, Sam finds a unique outlet for her creative expression and the complexities of her mind. More than market success, she values reaching an audience that connects with her work.

 

Her short story, "Echoes of Fragments," is published in Scribbles Volume V Issue 1: Mnemosyne’s Hometown.

Kevin Christopher C. Tan

 

Kevin Christopher C. Tan is the Vice President for Finance. He is an ID 122 LIA-COM student, taking up Creative Writing and Marketing Management. Kevin puts all his writing and math knowledge towards Dungeons & Dragons, in which he has spent far too much money on. When he isn't rolling 7d6 damage on his crying victims, he spends his time playing music or rotting in bed.

Dan Vincent M. Ong

 

Dan Vincent M. Ong is the Vice President for Internal Affairs. He is an ID 120 LIA-COM student, taking up Creative Writing and Accountancy. Dan is trapped in the machinations of DLSU by his own choice of taking a double degree—if he isn't mulling over his thesis, he's grappling with numbers and excel sheets. In his free time, he enjoys playing tabletop-adjacent games and the occasional hack-and-slash. In his not-free-time, he sneaks in reading webnovels regardless of the occasion. Despite difficulties, Dan has no plans to drop either major. He has never heard of the sunk cost fallacy.

John Ethan D. Khonghun

 

John Ethan D. Khonghun is the Vice President for External Partnerships. He is an ID 123 Entrepreneurship student. Jot is a spirited man. On days when he does not go through his meetings, or host his podcast or design his business pitches, he would often spend it on walks and exploring the small worlds around him. As a person studying entrepreneurship academically, he dreams of one day running businesses and taking over the world.
